Free Comic Book Day was May 6.Several places in Greensboro participated. Most notably, Acme Comics on Lawndale Drive held events all day. In addition to picking up the free comics that were printed especially for this day (complete with "Free Comic Book Day" logo across the top), Acme also had local comic artists on site to discuss their work and sign comics.
The Central Branch of the Greensboro Public Library also held a Free Comic Book Day event. As I was entering the library to attend a meeting, I saw happy, expectant little kids working their way into the room set aside for passing out the comics and showing comic-related video.
